QuestionThese spots are not powdery. The leaves are healthy and the plant blooms almost constantly in a west window.
AnswerDorothy,
A photo would certainly help, if you could get me one. White spots can mean several things. Is your violet a variegated type? That would account for spotting. In this case the spotting is natural, and simply for beauty. It is GOOD that the spots are not powdery. Is it possible that the spots could be from watering with water a little colder than violets can take? That causes spotting, but doesn't harm the plant. Let's hope the violet you have is variegated, and that would be good news. If you can send a photo I'd be happy to look at it.
