white spots on violet
Dear Patricia, I agree that root rot is present but my current concern is with the whit spots seen. Is this another problem such as a fungus or a mealy worm?
AnswerDo you see any movement at all, even small movement to indicate that the white spots are living? Use a magnifying glass, if needed. Sometimes dabbing the areas with a Q-tip with alcohol on it will kill them if it is a white fly or other bugs. If dabbing with alcohol does not help, go to the garden center and look for something you can use on AVs. You can't use the same things on them as other plants due to their delicate foliage.
