QuestionI have 7 African Violets in my office, and occasionally I have small knats flying around me. What can I use on the violets to prevent them from appearing.
AnswerThe main thing with any insect is to keep your plants as healthy as possible and they will naturally resist most pests. Keep them watered well with African violet food and plenty of indirect sun since it is summer. If the gnats become really troublesome you can purchase an insecticide MADE FOR AFRICAN VIOLETS at a garden store, but please use half-strength. I hate to see insecticides used, especially indoors.
