After my violets bloom, do I cut off the dead flowers or just leave them alone?

Thomas, it is always best for the health and vitality of the violet to pinch (or cut) off any flowers that are dead or even starting to die, this would include wilted flowers, too.  The reason is that it allows the plant to concentrate its energy into producing new blooms. This is very similar to the process called "dead-heading" which outdoor gardeners do on flowering plants.  I hope this helps.
