How to save Million Bells for next summer?

Question
Hi,
I have this beautiful hanging basket of Trailing Pink "Calibrachoa hybrid", and I understand they can take pretty much cold but they will freeze and die if they get too cold in this Milwaukee, Wisconsin weather. I wondered if there was a way to bring them inside and keep them alive for next summer. If I do that can I trim them back so they can start new in the spring? I will appreciate anything that you can tell me about this.
               Thanks, BB

Answer
I have not tried wintering over Calibrachoa because it is easily and reasonably available in the spring.  Your plan might work.  The problems I experience wintering over sun-loving plants include providing enough light and attacks by pests they seem to be impervious to when growing outside (aphids, white flies, spider mites).  Calibrachoa will tolerate lower light levels if kept in a cool location (40-55F), but when growth begins in the spring, it will be weak and spindly unless the plant receives direct sun for most of the day.
