QuestionHi
Can roses be grown from rosehips?
I have had a epidemic of fleabeatles on my hollyhocks for
several years. I have used many
products - none have worked.
In fact, the beatles are worse than
ever this year. Billions of eggs on the stems and leaves.
Any suggestions?
Thanks so much
Joyce
Answerjoyce,
i am sure that roses can be grown from rose hips, as there are seeds in them, i would say they have to dry naturally on the rose bush first and then have to be planted in a light medium to start them.
as for the flea beatles, try Ortho's garden spray for insects. but one catch to spraying,,,,,,,, after the initial spray you need to count 10 days and spray again, because the eggs will hatch and attack again, the same goes for spider mites. mark it on your calendar,,,, and dont wait 11 days, it must be 10,,,,,, good luck,,,,,,,sandy
