QuestionHello,
We have a natural pond-1/4 acre approx. 6-8 feet deep. We just had a company suck out the mucky bottom silk and are ready to start fresh. There is a well within 20' of the pond that we want to use(pumps 2,400 gal an hour)for a waterfall. Do you recommend an aeration system also? The ground water returning to the pond is tea colored. With this large area what can we use to help clear up the water?
thank you
Cheryl
AnswerHi Cheryl: If the waterfall is going to break the surface of the water then I do not think you will need an aeration system. You could also install fountain pumps around the pond to add air. I would not worry about the ponds new brown color. It should settle naturally within a few weeks to a month. If you have further questions please let me know... dave
