QuestionHello. We have a pond with many koi fish in it. All but two are still fairly smaller and the two bigger ones we have only about a year.
Yesterday we found a small baby fish in the pond and we are not sure where it came form. We never saw any eggs and its the only one. Could this baby fish be a koi? Or could there be another explanation as to why their is a baby fish in there?
Thank you for your time
AnswerHello Ria: If all you have in your pond is koi... then I would suspect that you have a baby koi... One of the koi may have spawned or laid eggs and they may have all gone bad with just a few of the eggs hatching... Some of the babies may have gotten sucked up the filter or eaten by the other fish, etc. Does your baby fish look like a koi? Dave
