Question
I have a 12 or 13,000 gal Koi pond. I have a solid black small koi about 5 inches long. When we first got him, he was 2 inches. We noticed a white spot near or on his eye about a week ago, it is not getting bigger and no other spots are there. He is very active and swims with the other koi, no others have spots, what do you think?

Hi Jim:  do you add aquarium salt to your pond??? the white spot may be a parasite or even the start of a disease... If you can isolate the fish and look at it up close then I will all be able to help you.... make sure he is eating... The treatment for disease vs parasite are very different.... dave
