Questionmy pond has only one comet goldfish, and that is it. i defiantly can have at least
5 more fish in it without a doubt. my question is, will fancy gold fish survive the
winter like comet goldfish do? i was hoping to put a few fancy gold fish in. the
pond is 2 1/2 feet deep at its center and the worst winters will only freeze the
water to 9 inches but most of the time its only 1 to 3 inches, thanks
AnswerHi Joshua: They should be fine I would however recommend moving the pump closer to the surface so that it causes a ripple on the surface so that the pond does not ice over completely. This will help to ensure the oxygen supply is sufficient for winter... dave
