QuestionQUESTION: im have a lotus plant i have kept it in a plastic pot filled with water.daily its getting 3-4 hour sunlight.
earlier 4,5 leaves are there in that, now it has only small small 2-3 leaves.is it dying.how can i prevent/takecare of it
ANSWER: Hello Preeti!
It is best to have the Lotus potted in very nutrient rich, heavy soil. The soil has to be kept very, very wet (an inch or two of standing water on top is best).
Preventing root fungus is also important. Try adding a tiny bit (about 10% or recommended dosage) to the water.
The Lotus will lose some leaves, but should survive in that fashion until spring.

AnswerHello again!
Unfortunately I cannot give you a brand-name, but any good garden center will be able to recommend a good, water-soluble fungicide.
A "tiny bit" is, as stated in my first answer, about 10% (one tenth) of the recommended dosage.
Please be sure to follow all other instructions on the label.
