Question
i had a large ghost koi in the region of 24 inches long i have found it dead today , but i have also discovered a large number of baby fish in the pond and wonderer if it is likely that the two were related ,also relatives had been feeding it bread last week and don't know if this may have done harm , or is it more likely to be old age as it was 15 . i know that it is all a bit vague but any light that you could throw on the situation would be appreciated .

Hi Brendan,
Your ghost koi is only a baby at fifteen so it certainly won't be old age and there is no harm in feeding them a little brown bread NOT WHITE BREAD and the baby fish will have been in the pond for a few days you will just have noticed them the fish will have spawned a few days before so with only knowing what you have told me I am afraid I can't give you much advice unless it was damaged during spawning.
