QuestionMy question is, do I take the water lilly out of the container that I bought it in and place it in my planter or do I keep it in the container?
It's just in a small bucket right now until I transfer it to a large planter - 27 inches wide x 24 inches deep.
The potting soil is in the container.
Most of the roots are covered in potting media with a few that are hanging down underneath the container.
I'm wondering if I take the whole root system and potting soil out of the container before I put it into the large planter or just keep it in the container it's in - roots, potting soil and all. Thank you very much for your time.

AnswerHi Bridget,
Thanx for your question. If you are planning on transplanting the waterlily into a larger container, by all means remove the entire plant from the container in which it comes and put it in the larger container. Make sure you have a couple of inches of course gravel on top of the soil so it and the plant doesn't float out of the planter. I hope this helps.
