QuestionI have a very small container (16 gal)pond/fountain with 2 fish, 3 potted plants and a floating plant. My pump is supposed to send out water in a bell shape, but the water doesn't come out with enough force.. Is my pump too small? I can't figure out the size I need. Can you help?
AnswerSharon, sorry for the belated response. For some reason, every time I tried to answer this question the site would time out and I would loose everything.
Try tightening up the fountain head. It's probably two or three pieces. There'e the riser tube, the head housing, and the head attatchment. The head attatchment should be able to turn left for right. Turn it to the right. This decreases the amount of space between the attatchment and the housing increasing the pressure. If you cannot tighten it, then, make sure there is not an adjustment on the pump somewhwere. If you need to purchase a fountain pump, look at anything 250 GPH with an adjuster.
Thanks,
Brigitte
