oscar fish

Question
how do you think an oscar would do in an outside fish pond would they be alright or would they die?

Answer
Oscars would do fine as long as the water was warm, over 70 degrees F.  Below that, they get sluggish.  Once you go below 60 degrees F, they'd start to die.  I've never had oscars myself.  They are predatory fish so they would eat any smaller animals in the pond that they could catch.  If you live in a warm climate like Florida, they could live outside all year.  Otherwise, you'd have to bring them inside for the winter.  Good luck!
