Question
we just put a comet in our pond he is about 6-7 in long and the other fish are quite a bit smaller, the comet(nemo) is always hiding under our pump is he sick or lonely or what? please help

Hi Donna,
Thanx for your question.  Nemo, I do not believe, is sick.  He is adapting to his new surroundings.  Can you imagine having little of a brain, being scooped out of your home, put in a bag, transported in a wildly splashing, timultuous environment only to be thrust into another alien environment?  I can't.  But, it just goes to show you that animals can be very much traumatized just by moving them from one place to another.  It's hard for us to understand sometimes why animals react the way we do.  But, no, I think Nemo is fine.  He just has to become comfortable with his new home.  I hope this helps.
