QuestionDear Robyn ,
How are you Robyn ?. I'm from Malaysia .
Below is my question .
My pond measurement (not including the filter chamber ) is as follow >lenght=11 feet , width=5 feet and depth =3.5 feet .
Based on this measurement , if i want to breed the koi to its largest size , how many koi fish would you suggest me to keep in the pond ?. Thank you very much .
AnswerYour pond is only about 1400 US gallons with those measurements. If you want the koi to grow larger, then I would not put in more than 5 of them. If you add more, they will not grow as large, and the pond's biological filtration will eventually not be able to keep up. Also, the fewer fish that you have, the more likely that more of their eggs and fry will avoid being eaten once they're breeding.
