Filter/pump

Question
George,

We have a 125 gallon goldfish pond in our yard. It's only about 5 feet long, 3 feet wide, and 18"-24" deep. All we have in it is a lilly pad plant, some small rocks, and about 16 small goldfish.

For the past 3 years, we have been using a manual filter (I drop a bucket in several times to drain some of the water and then refill it with the hose). The fish do fine but the water is always dark green. We would like to improve the quality of the water so that its more clear in color.

My question is, we are looking to purchase a filter/pump combo but we were hoping to get it for under $100.  Any ideas? I don't want one that needs maintenance very often either.

Thanks,
Paul
