QuestionMy husband and I have a large, natural pond. It was constructed about 5 years ago in a low, wet area. No liner, no concrete. It recently started leaking, which may be associated with blasting on a nearby street. How can we find the leak in a large natural pond? How can we fix it once detected?
Thank you.
AnswerIf you can detect where the leak is coming from you may be able to fix the crack by using what they call hydraulic cement.and covering the area with this. This cement is used for fixing cement cisterns. You may have luck with this but I am very sceptacle a fix. The other thing you may try is using builders plasctic and covering the area you will probably have to dig it into the bank and covering with dirt I think draining the are will be required. You may also dam the area where the leak is and carry on with the repair. First you must determine where the leak is and try to judge from there. In any case I don't think this will be an easy fix.
