QuestionHi,
We recently built a fountain in our yard. It is about 3' by 4' and only about 5 inches deep. It is a disappearing fountain. The first pump we bought was 40gph and stated that it had a height of 2 1/2 feet but when we hooked it up we didn't get ANY height, it just gurgled out. We went back and bought another pump which said it had a height of 4 1/2 feet and was 80 gph, this one also gives us no height. We have a rainfall fountain head installed and just want a pretty fountain. At one point some of the holes in the fountain head became clogged and then we got a height of about 1 1/2 feet out of it. What are we doing wrong or how do we get more pressure into the pump?
AnswerConnie I think you are doing something wrong. I think you are getting algai or something else stuck in your inlet.
If this doesn't solve the peoblem ghet back to me. Bottom line is water in water out. If it goes through a pump the water should go up an acceptable amount. Make sure everything is clear
Keep Ponding
