QuestionOur pond water is clear, meaning we can see the bottom and the fish, but it is always muddy or like a merky tea-color. Is there anything we can do to clean it up? We have lots of floaters, fish, and we also have mulch around our rocks on the edges of our pond. Thanks for any insight.
AnswerIs the mulch getting wet? that may be causing the problem.
You may also have a condition called black water, which to my understanding is great. I only experienced it once and it was awesome. No problems. What you might try is pond algacide, use as directed the next day will have to skim the
algaie. Let it settle for a few days and see what happens. My gut feeling everything is OK. Check your water PH if between 7.6& 7.3 enjoy.
