Questioni have had a pond for 14 months...have a biofilter..suddenly again ( happened last year at this time too).the water has turned kind of greenish...any suggestions...have tried clarifier 2x have water lillies etc ..last year we thought it cleaned up when we planted anacharis on the bottom..we have loads of it now...is it the heat and sun ( live in myrtle beach, south carolina) last year it just cleaned up not sure what did it cause we did so much to it..we have the same four fish we have since we started not koi but look like them...we do not feed the fish...help!
AnswerTry putting pond peat in your bio filter. It is a miracle worker . Also, If your pond is in a sunny location get floating plants like wate hyacinths. Floating plant and leaves fight for nutrients starving the green algai which you have.
