QuestionOur neighbor has a female ash tree and this year we've had several hundred ash trees sprouting up in our grass, flower beds, etc. How can we keep them from germinating. We are spending hours pulling these seedlings. Thank you.

Thanx for your question. You can apply a product called Preen?to the area most affected by the seedlings otherwise, I'd either get out the trusty lawnmower or weedeater and that will usually do the trick. Try Preen?first. It is a preemergent and helps keep seeds from sprouting. If you put preen down, no other seeds will germinate either. Follow the directions on the label. I hope this helps.
