Hoe to grow Texas REdbud Tree from seeds

Question
I have planted my seeds and they are starting to sprout. I am not quite sure what to do next.  I have them in a cupcake tin with good starter soil. I need some step by step instructions as to what to do next and when is a good time to plant in ground.
I live in Florida
Thank you

Answer
Hi Pam,
Thanx for your question.  Keep your seedlings in a window that faces the East or the South so they will get plenty of sunlight.  Water them enough to keep them from completely drying out but don't waterlog them.  It is preferable if you could keep them under a 40-watt shoplight suspended about 8 inches above them.  The shoplights are available at the big discount stores and most hardware stores for $10-$20 a piece.  After the seedlings are a couple inches tall and have a set of true leaves (the first leaves are cotelydons or seed leaves and the second set will be the true leaves...), gently prick the seedlings out with a pencil or spoon and plant the seedlings in separate pots.  After a couple weeks, start feeding them every 14 days with a 1/2 strenght 12-12-12 liquid fertilizer or fish emulsion.  After the last frost in the spring, take the seedlings outdoors and place them in the shade for about 10 days.  After that, they can be planted in the desired location in the yard.  I hope this helps.
Tom
