Sprouted lemon seeds for planting.

Question
I have 3 or 4  lemon seeds which have sprouted, how do I go about planting them?
Do I place them all in the same pot or in separate pots?
I was told to plant them about 1/2 an inch down in the soil, is this information correct?

Thank you for your advice and time concerning these questions.

Sincerely,
jezz

Answer
Hi Jezz,
Thanx for your question.  I've grown various citrus from seed before.  Plant the sprouts in separate pots.  Fill the pots to about two inches below the rim of the pot.  Place the sprout on top of the soil and then cover gently with 1/2 to 1 inches (approx. 2.5cm) of soil.  Keep moist but well drained.  The seedling will emerge in a few days.  Put the pot in an eastern or southern facing window.  Take the plants outdoors when temperatures are above 50癋/10癈 consistently but place the seedlings in the shade for ten days first to acclimitize them.  Do not allow the seedlings to dry out.  Bring the seedlings indoors when there is danger of frost.

I hope this helps.
Tom
