QuestionI believe some seeds need to frozen for a while before planting. I have saved seeds from a tomato which I would like to plant next spring. Is there any special preparation I need to use?
AnswerHi James,
Thanx for your question. Some seeds do require a cold treatment to break dormancy and germinate. Tomato seeds do not have this requirement. Tomato seeds should be planted in rich potting soil, moist but not soggy and warm (70?80?. Germination occurs in 5-7 days. I hope this helps.
