QuestionIf you plant the pit of a nectarine, will it grow and produce fruit?
AnswerHi Wendy,
Thanx for your question. Most likely, the pit or seed of the nectarine will sprout and growing into a tree if planted correctly. The seed needs a cold period to break dormancy and sprout. It will take 5-7 years to produce fruit from seed. If you will do a search on this site, you will see a number of my responses that give instructions for planting a nectarine or other fruit seed. I hope this helps.
