AnswerHi Toni,
Thanx for your question. You can wait for seeds but your hibiscus is probably a hybrid so the seedlings will most likely not resemble the parent plant due to the hybridization.
You can also take cuttings which will be ready in 6-8 weeks.
Take a one-gallon pot, fill it with perlite or sand and wet thoroughly. Make your cuttings about the length of a pencil and cut off all but one or two leaves at the top; make the cutting right where it meets the main branch; dip this end in a rooting hormone which you should be able to find at most nurseriese; poke a hole in the potting medium with a pencil so as not to wipe off the hormone and stick in the cuttings. Keep the cuttings moist and under lights (40-watt shop light). The cuttings should root in about 6 - 8 weeks with temperatures of 70-85?F.
I hope this helps.
Tom
