propagating jasmine

Question

jasmine plant
Hey ,
Recently I got a small jasmine cutting/twig from a friend (don't know which kind of jasmine it is).. it had tender leaves and some mature ones too.. there were some roots too.
I planted it in a peat pot with  moisture control, miracle grow, and keep it covered with a plastic baggie with holes. It's been 2 weeks now and I don't see any changes ..the tender shoots are still green and tender, but droopy sometimes, the old leaves are also green n droopy..but few have brown tips..
I also added plant food couple of times.
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I want to keep this plant indoor..it sits on an east window.which gets morning sun and lots of daylight throughout the day.

please advice

Answer
Hi Neha,
Thanx for your question.  It doesn't sound like you're doing anything wrong.  Continue to water the plant as it dries out but make sure it doesn't sit in water (should be well drained pot).  Feed every 2 weeks or so with a 10-10-10 balanced fertilizer for houseplants.  Make sure it gets the sun you are saying it does.  It will start growing as soon as it has adapted to the local conditions you have made for it.  If you notice the tips of the leaves getting browner, refrain from feeding the plant for a while and make sure the plant is not sitting in water.  I hope this helps.
Tom
