QuestionHow do you tell if a kiwi vine is male or female? I planted several kiwi seeds approximately 3 years ago and they came up! Now I have a couple of vines (fuzzy) that have made it through a couple of winters. What can I do to produce fruit?
AnswerHi Terri,
Thanx for your question. To my knowledge the only way to tell a male plant from a female kiwi plant is by looking at the flowers.
Here's a link from Washington State University which shows the flowers. The female has the distinctive ovary showing in the middle of its blossom.

Scroll down to the paragraph on kiwifruit and you'll see the photographs. I hope this helps.
