QuestionQUESTION: I have read you have to plant both male and female trees in order to produce fruit. If I plant seeds how do I know if I have both male and female
ANSWER: Hi Milton,
Thanx for your question. I know of no way to differentiate the seed that will produce a male plant versus a female plant for persimmons. I've had kiwi seeds which also produce plants that require a male and a female plant. There was no way that I could tell to differentiate the seed. I'm sorry.

QUESTION: how do I tell the difference between a male persimmon tree and a female persimmon tree
AnswerHi Milton,
Thanx for your question. I previously answered this one a few weeks ago. Sometimes if you quickly browse past answers you may get your answer quicker if I've already answered the question. At anyrate, here is a link to pictures of the flowers, which is how you will identify a male tree vs a female tree. Male flowers are small and in clusters, females are larger and single. I hope this helps.
