QuestionOn 2 plant samples from a residential contract of my business were identified as having root rot fungus present-Phytophthora species. The samples of the foliage are being incubated to tell us more information.
In the time of your career have you come upon this- with Canadian Cedar trees??
The true genus of the trees on the property I am unaware of.
As well many of trees on their property I was told were purchased from a yard of weak trees...
Thank you for you time-

Teri
AnswerHi Teri,
Thanx for your question. I am not a tree expert but here is a link to some information regarding the Phytophthora species root rot fungus pertaining to cedars.

There is an expert here on Allexperts, Jim Hyland, who worked with the U.S. Forestry Service. He is better qualified to answer this question than I am. He is located under the Trees Forum.
I hope this helps.
