QuestionDo you know how to prevent Carrotwood from forming those pesky seed pods? I try to trim a lot them off before they mature and drop but I'm getting too old for that. I find that in the occasional year I have them pruned I get even more. Love the shade, hate the nusiance!
AnswerHi Annette,
Thanx for your question. Unfortunately, there is no way to prevent the tree from forming seed. This tree has been identified as a non-native invasive species by the state of Florida and to my knowledge the tree is only hardy in the southern half of Florida.
When you prune a tree it will generally start sending out a lot of new growth so yes, I can understand why you may have gotten more blooms.
I regret I couldn't find a more satisfactory answer for you.
