QuestionHi,
I am sad because I sprayed my 10 foot tall 4-in-1 cherry tree with a sulfur/lime dormancy spray too late in season (1st week of April). 90% of the buds didn't open. Even where a few flowers bloomed, the leaves shriveled up and died. Have I killed this once healthy tree? I am upset because I took the advice of a nursery on when to spray! Thanks. Julia
AnswerHi Julia,
Thanx for your question. Although I am not a tree expert, I don't think you have killed the tree. I would go back to the nursery and tell them what happened. Additionally, I would contact my local County Extension Agent for more information on when to spray the dormancy spray in your area. If you will give me your general location, I can put you in touch with a local expert. I hope this helps.
