QuestionHI, i just had a few questions about growing vine seedlings. Ok, this year i was going to start a small plant shop thing that will include annual, perrenials, aquatics, etc. My question is... What can i use as a cheap temporary trelis for the vines? They will be planted in pots and i just need them to climb up something so they dont get tangled up with everything else. Will the bamboo plant stakes work? (Any type of stake) Do you know of a website were i could get these in bulk? Thanks for your help.
AnswerHi Dustin,
Thanx for your question. When I was growing Heavenly Blue morning glories last year for the farmers market I found some cool green bamboo stakes about 3 feet tall at Lowe's. I think they came in a pack of 24 or 36 for a couple of dollars. They are a bit thinner than a pencil but strong and make a great climb for a young vine. I would go to Lowe's and see if you can find these and then contact the company about buying them in bulk. I hope this helps.
