QUESTION: Is it possible to grow avocado trees from cuttings? How do you go about it?

ANSWER: Hi Helen,
Thanx for your question.  It is difficult to propagate fruit trees via cuttings.  The vast majority of fruit trees, including avocadoes are grown by grafting.  I am a simple flower grower and I have no experience with grafting.  However, if you will tell me your city and state, I can put you in touch with your local experts who might be able to help you in your quest.  I hope this helps.
