Great info here! When you talk about planting a nectarine seed, are you talking about the seed or the stone? If it is just the seed that needs planting, how do you go about getting the seed out of the stone? I find the seed resembles an almond. Do you take the skin of the seed to expose the white part?

Thanx for your question. You may remove the almond-like seed from the nectarine pit. (Almonds - Prunus dulcis - are closely related to peaches.). Removing the seed from the pit will help germination. I would just remove the seed from the pit, allow it to dry out for a week or two and then plant the seed. I hope this helps.
