Hi Tom,  I have a white camellia about 4-5 years old.  Recently I noticed a pod or bulb growing at the base of 3-4 branches.  What are these...are they damaging the plant?  Can I use them to grow new camellias?  Your assistance would be much appreciated.  Thanks, Karen

Hi Karen,
Thanx for your question.  Is this pod growing where a bloom was?  In other words, did a bloom dry up and leave a pod behind?  Is this pod growing out of the woody material and is woody itself, like a tumor?  I'll need this information before I can answer your question.
