Thanx for your question. Wait until early fall. Trim the shrub back severely and then carefully dig up the root ball taking care not to damage the roots as much as possible. Prepare another hole a bit deeper than the hole from which your shrub came. Put some cured manure in the hole and then place the plant in the hole and cover it. Totallay soak the plant with water and then give it a three-inch mulch. The plant should fill out the following year. I hope this helps.
