Question
I have 3 Avocado trees that are in pots I started from seeds. They are very healthy and about 3 1/2 feet tall. When can I plant them in the ground outside?  Also, can they take full sun.  I live in Pasadena, Ca. Thank you.

Hi Laura,
Thanx for your question.  I lived in Monterey back in the late 70s.  Plant your avocado trees outdoors now.  But first, put them on a protected porch or underneath a tree.  These seedlings need 10 days outside where they are protected from direct sunlight, rain, hail, wind and extremes in temperatures.  After the ten days, plant the trees in areas where they will get direct sunlight.  I hope this helps.
