QuestionI bought one of those "on the vine" tomatoes at my grocery store, ignored it for a bit too long and noticed that it had developed bumps all over one side of it. I cut open one of the bumps and discovered that my tomato was sprouting. I let the rest of them go and I now have at least 10. At this point, how do I care for my sprouts? Should I cut them out of the tomato and plant them? Will I ever get fruit from them?
AnswerHi Claire,
Thanx for your question. I've heard of this happening before. Carefully, cut the tomato open and carefully extract the seedlings and plant them in separate pots. In a few months, your plants will have matured and being producing new fruit for you. I hope this helps.
