QuestionI have a 3-yr old snowball bush that has grown very long stems at the top. I pruned the long stems last Feb and the olant only blossomed at the bottom with the short stems touching the ground. How do I prune this bush?Help!
AnswerHi Phyllis,
Thanx for your question. The reason your plant did not bloom on top was because you pruned in in the spring. Prune flowering shrubs right after they flower. Blooms will usually be on the new growth. I would prune now in anticipation of winter and you should be fine with blooms next year. I hope this helps.
