Questiondo you need the seed pods from wisteria to dry on the plant before planting them, yucca seed pods, do they need to winter over before planing and which are the seeds, what i got from the flowers small and round or the large pods that have turned brown and are spliting open
AnswerHi Bonnie,
Thanx for your question. Allow the seed pods of the wisteria to turn brown and become dry. On the yucca, the pods are as you describe and when dry, they begin to open up. You should be able to identify the seeds as flat and black, somewhat shiny. They generally germinate better after a cold treatment but it has not been my experience that this was mandatory to break any dormancy. I hope this helps.
