QuestionWe have 3 Mt. Fuji trees that are 5-6 ft. tall and were planted from seeds about 16 months ago.
They have grown rather well, but with no limbs -
they just grow tall. How should I prune them
for proper growth? Also, we live in middle Tennessee. Any special fertilizing or care required?
AnswerHi Rod,
Thanx for your question. Usually, to encourage branching, I would cut off the main growing point. It usually stimulates the plant to start branching out. If the plants are 5 or 6 feet tall, cut it off to 4 feet. It probably won't start branching out until next season. Ihope this helps.
