i am new to gardening and have purchased a couple of seeds for an indoor plant .. i got a canal lily and a kind of lily that is little and grows in bunches and hangs upside down its round and cute and white in color (cant remember what it is called) i have planted the seeds in a metal and glazed ceramic pot .. but i have no idea what to do next .. its winter now and i have supply my pots with a table lamp to keep warm .. other than that i have no idea whats going on ? how much do i water ? how often do i water ? what about fertilizing ? should i provide heat ? what esle should i do ? i really want a nice house plant that i planted on my own .. please help and thank you so much for your time ..

Thanx for your question. All I can tell you without knowing the exact type of plant you have is that most seeds are planted at least as deep as they are long. Make sure you use a good quality potting soil available at most garden centers. Keep the soil moist but not soggy. When you notice the soil beginning to dry at the top give the pot a gentle watering. Keep the pots in a warm place where temperatures are consistent and around 75 degrees F (23 or 24C). Do not use any fertilizer until the seed germinates (sprouts) and sends up its first set of true leaves. Keep the pot in a sunny windo with a southern or eastern exposure. Actually, if you could keep the pots about 6 inches underneath a 40-watt shoplight, that would be best. I hope this helps.
