QuestionWhat happens if you plant a sesame seed? Will it grow a sesame plant, if it hasn't been factory-processed or heated or anything?
AnswerHey J,
Thanx for your question. Most sesame seed that are available to us in a culinary environment have been baked, heated, saute'd, roasted, etc. and therefore are not viable seed. If you want to grow sesame from seeds do a search on Google.com and I assure you, you will come up with a number of sources. Sesame requires a long, hot, summer. So, sesame can be grown in the the Southern, lower Central Midwestern states, the Southwest and California. I hope this helps.
