QuestionMy husband has raised a lot of garlic. Is the big flower about the size of a baseball the seed? If so, when can these seed be sewed? He grew it from cloves last year, but would like to try the seed. We live in Kentucky, Thank you so much.
AnswerHi Roberta,
Thanx for your question. Garlic is not propagated from seed. The bulbs are dug up in the fall and the cloves separated and the individual cloves will bring up a new plant. To my knowledge, garlic is one of the few plants that is not and cannot be raised from seed. I hope this helps.
