AnswerShalom Cohen,
You are not able to make ginseng to grow again the next year? I believe your climate may be too warm. What language do you speak? I'm sorry for being an ignorant American. Do you speak French or Spanish? Even German or Russian, we can translate. I'm sorry Cohen. I want to answer your question. Allow me.
Ginseng is a plant which requires a cold period in order to grow. That means it is a deciduous plant which can survive very cold, feezing winter only to sprout in the spring, grows during the warm period of spring, summer and fall, blooms and fruits and will die back to the ground after the first frost. The next spring it will start the process all over again. Ginseng (has many uses in the Far East)is valued mostly for its root in the West (Europe and North America). Some herbalists use the leaves for tea. I don't know all of the uses of this plant and frankly, as much as I have read, I'm still not convinced that ginseng is something I need to spend on or grow on in the garden.
I hope this helps Cohen.
Tom
