QuestionI like to use lawn clippings as mulch in my garden. But, at times the grass will produce seed heads between mowings. Is this two or three day old grass seed viable? If it went into the garden will it produce weeds?
AnswerHi William,
Thanx for your question. I use grass clippings all of the time and yes there are often seed heads on it. I think eventually some of the seeds will germinate but I have not had a problem with it. I think most of the seeds are not completely mature and usually will decay into the biomass sooner than later. I hope this helps.
