honeysuckle propagation

Question
hi tom!!  happy gardening!! my mom has a honeysuckle perennial planted outside.  it is not a bush but rather a plant and i was wondering if it can be split or if i would have to try and propagate it to get another plant.  any help would be greatly appreciated...

Answer
Hi Israa,
Thax for your question.  The easiest way to propagate this plant quickly is to take one of the parts of the vine that is rather lengthy (you may have to pull some of it down to the ground.)  Clear a place so that bare earth is showing and make a 2 inch deep depression that will accommodate about 4 inches of the vine.  Cover this with earth and then place a rock on top.  In about a month, this will have rooted.  Dig it up and cut the rooted section off of the vine and plant wherever it is you would like the  plant to grow.  I hope this helps.
Tom
